Educational Clinics

From basics to center ring, transforming foundational skills into extraordinary connection.

Attend a Clinic

Join us for a fun full day of horsemanship on Sunday, Sep 27th. Located in Stillwater, MN, this clinic is designed to be a foundation for horsemanship, groundwork, liberty, and trick training. Learn to communicate with your horse based off of applied learning methods and apply it to fun relationship-building activities.

Based off of the scientific method, there is a theory behind the practice, measured straight from the horse. In this clinic we start with a group classroom session where we take a deep deep dive into equine cognition and ethology and learn how to use operant and classical conditioning to communicate with our equine partners.

We will then go into group groundwork where we can apply what we just learned in the classroom to move and communicate with our horses like we are dance partners before we dive into lunch where we will chat, play games, and talk about trick training 101.

After lunch we will break into individual liberty sessions so that you can get hands on one on one training and feel safe working with your horse without distractions.

The participation for this clinic is for in-house (boarders) only (8 spots available), but this is a theory heavy clinic therefore there is so much takeaway for auditors who are all welcome, both open to inside the barn and to the public.

If you are a boarder who intends to participate please contact Corey and fill out my online waiver and pay to hold your spot (Venmo or PayPal). You will want to bring a chair, a lunch, a notebook and pen/pencil, and have your horse ready with a halter, leadline, some sort of training stick, and some treats. We will do class, group groundwork, then liberty after lunch so have your horse within a reasonable distance for their breaks or bring a buddy to go help catch them. Private lessons in the afternoon are 30 min starting right after lunch. If you need to leave early please ask Corey to sign you up for an early slot. If you are available to stay and work towards the end, please let her know (benefit of watching the liberty exercise before its your turn).

Auditors will also have to contact Corey to sign up, pay in full (Venmo or PayPal) to reserve your spot, sign my online waiver and a barn waiver the day of, bring a chair, a writing utensil and notebook, and a lunch.
