Science-Based Horsemanship You Can Understand and Apply

Don’t Just Learn the Steps

Learn the System

This series teaches the science behind horse training so you can think like a trainer and solve problems with your horse.

Most horse training focuses on what to do.
This series focuses on why it works.

The Horsemanship Unlocked video series was created to bring science-based horse training into an accessible, practical format. In the horse world we often hear how to do something, but not always why. This project begins with the theory first, because when we understand the learning principles behind training, we gain a toolkit that allows us to think like a trainer and solve problems ourselves, the classic “teach a person to fish” approach. Each lesson includes classroom-style explanations grounded in measurable research from fields like animal behavior and learning theory, followed by clear demonstrations and finished examples with my horses. To make the process even more relatable, wonderful volunteers are also documenting their own journeys through the lessons with horses that are newer to the material, sharing honest video journals so viewers can see the real progress, challenges, and breakthroughs along the way.

The core educational series is available free on YouTube, so please subscribe and share to help more horses and humans benefit from this information.
